We supply the children’s morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. We have a full-time cook who creates nutritious meals for all our children. Water is served with all meals and is available to the children at their request. We offer the children milk at morning and afternoon tea. The daily menu is displayed in both foyers. Pre-School have a packed lunch 2 days a week to help the children prepare for school and on the other days, the meals are a combination of both hot and cold food.
We keep portfolios on the children’s learning and development. We use Storypark a a communication and assessmnt tool. These contain samples of learning stories, artwork, photographs and observations. Portfolios can be taken home by the parents at the end of each term. The children’s programme is based on Te Whāriki (The Early Childhood Curriculum) and is organised by all the teachers. We value parent/Whānau contributions to this record of your child’s learning and development. View ERO Report - Click Here
At Bunnies Childcare Centre Ltd, teachers assess, evaluate and empower tamariki through intergrating tikanga Maori, Te Reo Maori, and our Early Childhood Curriculum; Te Whariki. We aspire to understand and appreciate the interests and abilities of tamariki to meet their daily needs and poutama with sensitive consideration. We implement this through re-telling Maori stories & legends, singing waiata & participating in kaphaka, using symbols and artifacts through arts & crafts, all of which are integral throughout our programme.
